TheFieldCreative (Nonprofit)

It began as a concept, a will to save the planet, and then an attempt.

In 2005 it became a student club at Massey University, Ak. NZ. For 2 years students collaborated to host a range of initiatives.

In 2008 it sprouted again as a student club at Southern Cross University, Lis. Au. Again for two years collaboration ensued.

At times in between and after projects were also created.

It is currently on ice, awaiting the right conditions.

Though intentions were awesome, I eventually could not sustain myself. Even with 30k when started and 15k donated later, across projects and years I personally kept running out of $ whilst hosting projects and it was obvious needed to try a different approach.

The aim was then to advocate and break through as an artist, then start a nonprofit art music agency, to generate sustained funds and then resume outgoing services. Now finally in 2017 it feels close.

Charity has long been advocated by great people. Here now it is proposed to surpass capitalism as our preferred operating system. Nonprofit/charity already exists in the system, it is just not yet a first option: for employment, or for customers to buy from.

In such a short speck of time humanity has become a rampaging plague, and still aspires to grow. Extinction rates through the roof, the flow on effects not yet felt! Many factors, to consider and realign. Sheer population is the primary problem, but..

The effects of our population is where we can first get traction. To assist the transition of humans into sustainable activity~ environmental and social projects- as jobs, working for charities.

Define the ideal and work backwards from there..

To fund it by starting to sell goods and services where 100% of after cost profits go to charity. No owners, no cream off the top. A number of such product are beginning to pop up!

Resolution~ not revolution!

If the public chooses to buy these nonprofit products, at the same price/ same quality, and a swell of conscious consumerism rises.. We can fix ourselves, and with it the planet to a great degree. And begin to enable the bio-diverse eternity that we ought not have meddled with to begin with.

Growth and profit.. Capitalism has had its day.

Charity can serve all better.

It can be the panacea for our age, and into eternity.

It recreates public, resolves rich get rich- poor get poor, plus.

It is an enviro-socio-economic solution that can run without changing the current system. Charity already exists within capitalist model, it just does not yet thrive. The beauty of the concept is that it is powered by consumer choice, is simple, and in theory can go viral quickly like recent trends of fb, air b&b, uber etc.

If you give people the option, in an apples for apples scenario..

Will they buy from non-profit?

The important thing is to keep it clean: transparent, nonprofit for perpetuity, nonviolent, enviro best practice etc.

TheFieldCreative concept to be applied revolves around three core services, that eventually would interact to function as a sustainable system.

Seeds To Trees: Enviro & human ideals/ project support services.

Creative Retreats: Reserves to host and further nonprofit projects.

The Charity Theory: The fundraising arm, selling goods and services. The proposed next non-profit art/music agency is first on the cards.

This is the future I can see, and the pain of current ineffectiveness I have held sacred the last decade.

There is more to it, more safeguards to keep it on the straight and narrow. Further strategies on effectively rolling it out. It is the world in my mind that is well explored and awaiting the right conditions to begin again.

A redefinition of success.

Background on how and why the concept was forged.

In 2005 at 24yo, had just spent a year traveling through Europe. With 30+ thousand of savings still in the bank, a Degree in Mgt & International Business, PG Dip in Marketing, Cert in Real Estate, time, and a concept, I engaged the ultimate challenge.

After Europe some of my family suspected I had been inducted into a cult, but was simply following my ideals. After saving enough for the deposit on a house, I did the Real Estate Salespersons Certificate to know the lay of the land, and make an informed biggest investment. I was then invited to work for Ray White in Takapuna. I thought from inside I could really find a good investment. But with then the extra training in that and earlier learning in International Business and the Marketing- saw property ownership and the capitalist rat race in a foul light. It is a sick game, with a bitter finale. I went abroad instead, to unlearn my training and see the Earth through my own eyes.

Q: What is most important, and worth doing?

A: Saving the planet!

Initially I was focused on creating a hub where positive concepts could be created. A student club was setup at Massey University in Auckland, New Zealand, where I studied and was in 2002 Student President. Some years later also established at Southern Cross University, Lismore, Australia, whilst was Tutor of Ethics and Sustainability. The clubs created an entity in which to operate, student members to collaborate, a range of ideas were launched and created, hopefully with some flow on effects.

After self funding the project I ran out of money, and scraped along still on the mission, free camping for periods in the process.. Too stubborn to give up. The charity of the Salvation Army assisted greatly the charity advocate! TY c;

I had been writing all along the way, trying to convey concepts, make them interesting sometimes fun in stories. They came through soon as poetry. I had done some performing at school, and attempted to busk as a street poet, to generate a bit of cash to survive and simultaneously convey concepts.

The vision is next to launch my poetry to break through as a performer and advocate. From there to spearhead a nonprofit art/music agency and begin to implement the nonprofit theory, develop international networks which can then enable other products, and can surpass traditional for-profit media which would assumedly oppose the proposal. Then finally, the effects, to action practical services with environmental and social benefit.

I can see it playing out in my mind, it is the visions I see. Have discussed it with thousands of people, pondered, attempted, lived and breathed it. Was pretty much a preacher, but was a bit serious. So became a poet and instead a bit vague. I am ready to occupy the sweet spot. To gather a team, apply and live the dream.

I am not perfect but have many perfect intentions.

Again, the proposition is to  enable the world to run on nonprofit. To give people the option to buy products and services from nonprofit, where 100% of after cost profits go to environmental and human projects, and thus can with these funds create sustainable livelihoods and positive effect.

It is worth it!

We can do it.
