Mermaids Do All The Cleaning

Mermaids Do All The Cleaning
Trails left, bits and crumbs, grease and fish oils.
It’s a job more than a hobby- pays the bills, you know.
Put on the gloves, that funny wee hat, out of your element.
Could be Neptunes kingdom, reckon actually it was.
All soggy but for inner of rocks, at least though are lighter.
And where are the men of the sea- why one king only?
Soo many questions, answers submerged, tails do stir.
The sediment soo easily unsettled, better to do little.
Appear to, look cute, play dress up, offer tea, or milk.
After, what is there to clean down here, all is living or for food.
Other than the shit those fuckers from up top love to litter.
These days more + more often it amasses, plastics + pollutants.
Our water as bad as their air we hear. Man- what a waste.
